Hello guys!
Right as many of you already know;
I'm a writer and fledgling Director.
This is my chosen career and I like to gain feedback from people.
You guys are all awesome :-X So I have decided to ask you guys what kind of thing you'd expect from a Horror Film.
Hardcore Horror Films from Britain are largely unsuccessful, my aim is to break this barrier! Brits don't go far enough with the pain and gore factor! (My opinion)
So I'm going to post the opening to "Lawrence" a film I am writing.
I know it is not in screen play form (yet) as I am only constructing the idea and it is in it's early stages.
If you're squeamish I promise I have not put a death scene up on here. It's only the opening! Unless any of you want to have a look at one. ;D
Attached (should be) an image I created for my film Split. It was canceled half way through production for a number of complex reasons
Please let me know what you think
Lawrence.
“The leather arm chair, with two crafted Lions, mouths open wide on the very fore front of the arm rests I currently reside in; is sticking to my naked body.”
A dark haired man with deep brown eyes and a defined jaw is sat in a room surrounded by books, some you will recognise – Mary Shelly, Jeff Lyndzy, Bret Easton Ellis and even a few copies of the kind of filth that could spew only from the darkened perverse mind of the Marque de Sade. Flaming embers from the broad fireplace float in the darkness of the beautiful room.
“My cigar contributes to my mood and fills my dark study with curling smoky images that seem to dance in the dim firelight.
I don't know why I speak to you, I don't know who you are or what you represent, are you the voice in my head, a symbol of the darkness inside me or am I just going mad? Regardless I shall speak to you anyway.
I am fascinated by nature, after all being a teacher, you tend to see the very essence of nature and most of all the learning process. Not just from books and the words you speak, but the very fragile social fabric to which all these small minded children cling. Hormonal teenagers filling their empty minds with useless information that they will never need for the world outside those walls. I have never been able to grasp the concept of the youth's need for acceptance. I have never wanted to be accepted, I chose to camouflage myself and the result was acceptance.
I look down at the pile of homework resting on the table in front of me. I pick up a few pieces and throw them on the fire. They burn nicely and I know that tomorrow when I deny all knowledge of ever receiving the homework, the students I have selected will react in very different ways. You see I enjoy testing the students, seeing their reactions. I know one of the girls' work I have burned will just accept what I say due solely to the fact she is utterly besotted with me. I am not amazingly good looking however I do cultivate some lust in the student body. To which I have indeed taken advantage of. However not in the way you would imagine.
I am a Serial Killer, I have been for 12 years. I have not gained any publicity, I do not lurk around in dark places as such and I have not been given a nick name by the police or the media. I choose not to embark on 'defining my art' as many killers have, I do not kill in any particular way. I kill how I feel, when I feel and whom I feel. This is what stops me from being caught. I only have one similarity in my killings, I am also a Cannibal. My name is Lawrence Cole.”
