So this is where I spend most of my time editing and what not. One of our many Cameras - Needs a clean! Our monitors - used for the 'pub quiz' recently. Like I said - Pub Quiz lol. The studio is usually black with the Green Screen up. Teleprompter and static camera. Our master server. Master editing suite. Multiple screens and one our 55 MacBook Pro's. The editing suite as a whole. The one of the Media classrooms and more Mac's. (YAY) And me helping my friend edit on Final Cut

Very cool! Are these pictures from your school? (Sorry, I am not sure if you are in high school or college?) What are you studying and what do you hope to do once you graduate?
I always wanted to go into something behind-the-scenes like production or something. But sadly, I didn't follow my heart or my dreams. I have a Bachelor of Arts in psychology -- and you can't do much with a BA in psych! I have worked in office jobs since graduating from college. I wish I had gone into something I truly loved!! Then I might actually enjoy working instead of only going there because I have bills to pay. It's kind of depressing. LOL.

They're at my secondary school. I'm 18 so I'm off to university in September. I'm following my dreams of becoming a writer and director for both stage and screen So I make low budget stuff all the time. I'm going to study BA Honors degree in Film and Media studies then a Masters (Or Major lol) in Philosophy of Theater and Film. The way I look at it is - I'd rather be poor and enjoy my job than comfortable and miserable lol. Wow, that's one hell of a degree to get! What do you do career wise now though? What made you take it?

I originally wanted a psych degree because I wanted to be a psychologist or counselor. But you need a masters or phD to do that kind of work. After 4 years of college and a bachelors degree, I was kind of burned out on school and just wanted to work.
So for the past 12 years, I have worked as the communications director for two different places. I mostly do marketing type work -- creating flyers, newsletters, press releases, etc.
But I actually just got a new job and I start in about 3 weeks. This position is like an Office Manager job so I will have a wide variety of administrative-type responsibilities.

Thank you so much for posting these photos Seraphina. They give a great look at your school and they take me back to the time I was in media school...This is how I remember the rooms and equipments. Makes me kinda jealous not to be in such an environment today...Even though I've read a lot online how film schools are a wast of time and money, I say...you are lucky Seraphina. I do very much hope I someday get to work with you in this fascinating business.

Congratulations on your job Amy Psychology is fascinating! I originally wanted to be a Criminal Psychologist but I fell in love with writing/film/theater. Definitely not a waste We do so many hilarious AND constructive things with our tech! Even if we do have a "Bang Head Here" sign - it's very useful around deadline time lol ;D The truth is when we're all in there editing it has a great atmosphere that you just don't get (in my opinion) elsewhere. When you're making a film with great people who are on the same level as you or just as wacky and wonderful - it's just brilliant But the best thing is; when it's time to get down to work - we get the job done. I love it! And I too look forward to working with you Sids
