Name: Joe Velazquez
Age: 22
Country: United States
How long have you been a Roger fan? Since 2004, when I first listened to You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Then I found out he was the singing voice of Young Hercules in Disney's Hercules and the singing voice of Scamp in Lady and the Tramp II. Then I sorta forgot about him, but I remembered the name. Then I saw The Producers movie and I didn't recognize him at all as Carmen Ghia, but once the credits came up and said it was Roger Bart, I went (Out loud) "ROGER BART?!!!!", and I was so freaked out. Then I found out he was going to be in Young Frankenstein. And I got a DVD of the musical Young Frankenstein, fell in love with it and I hoped to God he would do the tour and I found out he was and I said this is my chance to meet him in person.
Favorite Roger movie?: Um...either The Producers, Hostel II or Hercules.
Favorite Roger television role/appearance : Desperate Housewives George Williams big time!
Favorite musical/Broadway Roger was in?: Young Frankenstein, The Producers (when he was Carmen, to me he is the only Carmen Ghia)
Have you met Roger? Yes, I have and I would give anything to meet him again. I met him when he toured Young Frankenstein in Chicago. I bounded for the stage door after the show, my Grandma and my mum doubted he'd come out because he's such a big star. But then a stage crew guy came out and I asked if he was gonna come out and he said "Yes, he should be out real soon." Then I turned around to talk to my friend who was with me, I turned around and there stood Roger Bart. I walked up to him and I said "Mr. Bart, I am your biggest fan of all time. I've seen and I own all your movies." and he signed an autograph and we took a picture but we weren't sure it took and he said "Let's do another one." and I said "Wow, aren't you nice, Mr. Bart." And he smiled and looked at the letter I gave him (Which had my name on it) and he said "It's not every day I get to meet Joe Velazquez. And I told him the only thing I hadn't seen him in was Charlie Brown, but I really wanted to, and he smiled and said "Charlie Brown. That was in Skokie, but that was a long time ago", and I asked him if he could do the "Yesssssssssssss" for me, and he said "No, I really can't. It was good enough the way it was." As soon as he left, I screamed as high as a woman. I was so happy. I met my hero. The only thing that upsets me is that he said he would respond to my letter but he still hasn't and it's been over a year now.
